I don't know who this fellow is, but I found the photograph in an antique shop. The shop was offering several other photographs featuring this man, including one of him standing on the elephant and sweeping straw from it's hide, and another in which he was helping roustabouts pound in tent stakes. The asking price for each photo was too high, so I had to content myself with just this one, which I considered the best of the lot.
